Always Choose Love (The Ultimate Guide + Image Quotes)

Life is a whirlwind of events, people, thoughts, and feelings. Everyone experiences difficult times at some point in their lives, and it can be all too easy to succumb to fearful lies. We see the obstacles ahead of us and think to ourselves, “I'm never going to make it.”

At various points in life, each person is given the option of choosing between two paths: fear or love. Love is the way to live in abundance and freedom, and here are 12 reasons why you should always choose love over fear.

1. You are more frequently motivated by what you can gain and participate in. Love is a natural path to take in order to gain something

If you're excited about a new opportunity, it shows that you believe there's something to be gained from it. This opportunity to gain – whether it is a new job, a valuable business partner, a new place to live, or a romantic relationship – will be fully realized when you act in love. Accept the sacrifices required to achieve your goal, and forget about your fear.

The famous football coach Vince Lombardi reminds us that in order to be successful, we must embrace the type of hard work that we enjoy. “The cost of success is hard work, dedication to the task at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have given it our all.”

2. If you truly love something or someone, you will work hard to achieve your goals, allowing your love to motivate you

Despite the appearance that some people appear to have it all together, no one's life is easy. The truth is that anyone who has achieved long-term success in life has had to fight for it until it arrived. The same will apply to your story. Nothing lasts if it is easy, and nothing that is easy will last. Allow your passion for your quest to fuel you as you face adversity and rigorous trials.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable…” Every step toward justice necessitates sacrifice, suffering, and struggle, as well as the tireless efforts and passionate concern of dedicated individuals.”

3. Love necessitates sacrifice, and if you are willing to make sacrifices for what you love, your growth will be exponential

When we find something we adore in life, we must make a sacrifice. The spectacular events, people, and circumstances we encounter in life are almost always the result of deliberate sacrifice. We must give up something in order to obtain something better. “One of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his great surprises, is to discover he can do what he was afraid he couldn't do,” Henry Ford once said. Allow the strength of your love for your journey to overcome any fear that says you're incapable of making the necessary sacrifices.

4. When you start something great, it's because you “fell in love” with it. Maintain this mindset throughout your actions

Our brains have incredible power, which awakens when we set out to succeed at something we enjoy. When we are committed to achieving something we truly desire, the work becomes much easier – almost a cakewalk! We become so enamored with our goals and outcomes that our internal drive finds a way to make them a reality.

Your objectives exist for a reason. They inspire with a strong passion for your work. According to bestselling author Jack Canfield, “successful people maintain a positive focus in life regardless of what is going on around them.” They focus on their past successes rather than their past failures, and on the next action steps they need to take to get closer to achieving their goals, rather than all the other distractions that life throws at them.” Allow the fact that you “fell in love” with your goal or project to guide your success steps.

5. Biologically, the human brain is more likely to respond to positive stimuli than negative stimuli. Choosing love will positively guide your brain

On a basic biological level, when you think about something positive rather than something negative, your brain responds with greater clarity and vision. This is why it is a fundamental human tendency to listen to people who agree with us rather than people who speak from opposing viewpoints. Consider how diving headfirst into a project you enjoy will keep your mind focused on positive action.

When it comes to action, Confucius has some wise words to share when you run into unexpected roadblocks with your goals: “When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.” It is preferable to remain flexible on your path than to succumb to fear and abandon it entirely.

6. Fear will narrow and obstruct your path, but love will broaden and illuminate it

Embracing your fear of a project or goal will only impede your ability to progress. Concentrating on love will show you that anything is possible if you are willing to work hard enough to make it happen. “There is nothing to fear but fear itself,” Franklin D. Roosevelt once said. Don't let fear stand in the way of your success!

7. Recognize that fear is an emotion felt when something significant is happening, but that love will allow you to overcome those obstacles

Fear is a natural human emotion, and you should understand that everyone experiences it at different points in their lives. If you experience fear from time to time, you are normal and healthy. Moving forward under the guise of love, on the other hand, demonstrates that fear only creates obstacles by our own volition. When it comes to harnessing love, you have the ability to see past those obstacles.

Michael Jordan, a famous basketball player, shares his thoughts on overcoming obstacles: “If you want to achieve something, there will be roadblocks. I've had them, and everyone else has. Obstacles, however, do not have to stop you. Don't turn around and give up if you hit a wall. Determine how to climb it, pass through it, or work around it.”

8. In Jim Carrey's words, “You can fail at what you don't want, so you might as well take a chance at doing what you love

Jim Carrey, one of the world's most popular comedians, makes an excellent point about the battle between love and fear. Fear can keep you stuck in the mindset that many things are “impossible.” Love is the key that unlocks the cage, demonstrating that it's okay to make mistakes, even when doing what you love.

9. Love gives you the confidence and courage to act

Throughout your journey, love will be the driving force that activates courage and confidence. When acting out of fear, these two characteristics are not felt or delivered. Even Helen Keller struggled to maintain her courage and confidence at all times, but she came to the following conclusion: “Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement.” Nothing can be accomplished unless there is hope and confidence.”

Fear seeks to limit what you believe you can achieve; love will patiently remind you that confidence in taking risks and courage in achieving results is all you need to overcome failure.

10. “I can't be enough,” says fear. “I am already enough,” says Love

Fear attempts to stifle your growth and sell you lies; love knocks on your door every day until you open it. Albert Ellis, a famous psychologist, reminds us that “the art of love is largely the art of persistence.” If you stick with what you love long enough, you will be able to achieve.

11. Love transforms problems into new opportunities

Even with the most detailed or precise plan, life can throw us a curveball and force us to make do under less-than-ideal conditions. Fear tries to convince you that this is the end; love is confident in its ability to create new opportunities from unexpected events. A strong desire for something can keep us on the path to love and success. Napoleon Hill, a personal-success author, shared much wisdom during his time, with one of his most famous quotes about desire: “The starting point of all achievement is desire.” Allow your educational or career goals to create new opportunities that can dramatically change the face of the world.

12. Love, through cohesion, helps others and makes the world a more beautiful place

In the end, it takes every individual striving to live in love to make the world a more beautiful place. Fear attempts to keep people apart, discouraging beneficial and amazing collaboration. Love is the unending force that forms teams out of unassuming individuals and empowers each individual to contribute their best efforts. “Teamwork makes the dream work,” famous speaker and author John C. Maxwell once said.
