While humans are born with certain tendencies or orientations, our personalities and attitudes are formed through our interactions and experiences. Our attitudes begin to form in childhood and continue to evolve and change over time as a result of our day-to-day interactions and experiences.

When it comes to changing your attitude, you must conduct an honest and in-depth self-evaluation in order to determine which of your characteristics need to be improved or completely changed.
2. Seek out a role model
We all need to know that what we're attempting to accomplish is achievable; that we can be more optimistic, social, or patient. Find someone who has the attitude you want to have and let his or her life inspire and encourage you to move past your temporary failures on your journey to becoming a better person.
3. Consider how your new attitude will affect your life
To be able to power through all of the challenges that await you on your path to self-improvement, you must first determine what this ostensible change will bring to your life. Will changing your attitude make your family or social life happier? Will a shift in your attitude lead to a more prosperous career or business? Fix your thoughts on the benefits of your attitude change, and you will have a better chance of achieving your goal.
4. Select the best company
“Bad company corrupts good character,” as the saying goes. You cannot expect yourself to change if you continue to surround yourself with people who exhibit all of the negative traits that you wish to change. Consider making new friends, especially those who are upbeat and have a positive outlook on life. You will notice that having these types of people as friends will make your efforts to change easier.
5. Have faith in your ability to change
Often, the greatest impediment to achieving our goals is our own lack of faith in our abilities. If you don't believe in yourself or that you or your life can change, it won't happen—you'll either never start or give up so quickly that you won't have given yourself the chance to succeed.
It is undeniable that having a positive attitude is essential for living a successful and fulfilling life, so it is only natural to strive for one. I struggled with changing my negative attitude as well, but over time, with persistence and self-evaluation, I was able to change for the better. You, too, can!
How to Get Out More: Your parents are probably right when they tell you that you need to get out more. When you don't get out more, you miss out on lots of opportunities for fun. There are lots of things to do around town. You can go to museums, go shopping, go to the park, go to the beach, go to the movies, go to concerts, go to community centers, go to restaurants, go to county fairs, go to bars, go to comedy shows, go on hikes, go on road trips, or go to ball games.
