Are you perplexed as to why you aren't as successful as you believe you should be? Do you ever wonder why some people seem to win in every aspect of their lives? One simple question to ask yourself: Are you consistent?
No matter what, show up
Any famous author, musician, or actor will tell you that their success was earned over a long period of time. Whether it's writing that book for the next ten years or going to multiple interviews for your dream job, consistency is what will bring you success. By showing up at every opportunity, you are confirming that you truly want it. You won't get what you want if you give up halfway through.

You Are the Only One to Blame
When it comes to your life, you are the one who is in charge. You make all of the decisions and call all of the shots. Nobody can give you what you want, and nobody can take it away from you. Own it, and you'll find yourself owning more than you ever imagined.
Consistency is essential
To master anything in life, you must first show up and practice. A great deal. It's a marathon, not a quick jog around the block. So, regardless of how many times you need to practice, do it. If you truly want it, you will make practice a priority.
While we hear about overnight success stories, the majority of success stories are not. They are the result of sweat, blood, and tears. Also, consistency. That dash of consistency is required in the grnd cake recipe of life.
Know Yourself and Seek Self Improvement: Lately, I've been thinking about what my life would be like if I didn't do anything to better myself. I'm glad that I am always striving to learn new things and better myself. I would be a different person, and not necessarily for the better. I would not be the ambitious person I am today if I had not read books, gone to college, visited different cities, tried new foods, or taken many of the risks that I did. This has led me to the conclusion that I am incredibly fortunate to be able to change who I am. Read more.
Social Awkwardness and Intelligence: Social awkwardness and intelligence often go hand in hand. It's a big part of a person's personality. It can be beneficial to a person's intelligence because it teaches them to learn from their mistakes. People who are socially awkward are often the most interesting people. They also tend to be more well-spoken, because they don't have as many people to practice their conversations with. Keep Pushing Forward: Keep pushing forward. Don't give up. Even if you fall a lot, learn from your mistakes and keep going. You will eventually reach your goals---if you never give up. This is a quote from a very popular movie. It's a quote that's been heard many times from many different people, from many different backgrounds. The lesson here is simple: you have to keep going forward. You have to keep pushing. You have to keep making yourself better. You have to keep trying. You have to keep moving forward. Read more.
Promise Oneself: People are often too busy, so they promise themselves to do all kinds of things. They promise themselves to exercise, to clean their messes, to study better, to have more time with their family, to create more space in their life. They promise themselves to do these things every day, every month, every year. People are full of good intentions. They feel that it's what they should do. They feel that this is the path that will lead them to live freely, live without any regrets. But when they get tired, when they get busy, when they get angry, when they get sad, when they get angry, they forget to follow their heart. They forget to follow what they promised themselves. They forget to follow what they are meant to be. They forget to live. Read more.
