“Beliefs have the ability to both create and destroy. Human beings have the amazing ability to create meaning from any experience in their lives, whether it is one that empowers them or one that literally saves their lives.”
Anthony Robbins is a motivational speaker.
In his quote, Anthony Robbins describes the power and influence that beliefs have on our lives. Our beliefs shape how we live our lives, and if we choose to live our lives based on self-limiting beliefs, we are accepting a life that is going nowhere and a bleak future. We all want a flourishing life that is full of happiness, love, and joy; no one wants a miserable life where we languish in mediocrity. People who live successful and joyful lives have done so by choosing beliefs that support and empower them on their journey through life.

So, what exactly are Beliefs?
Beliefs are the thoughts that run through our heads and influence our behavior, attitude, and actions. The beliefs that influence our lives are either Empowering Beliefs, which enable us to live flourishing lives, or Self Limiting Beliefs, which prevent us from achieving our goals and cause us to languish and flounder.
The gift of choice is a wonderful gift that we all have, and it is this gift that allows us to choose what we want to believe and what we don't want to believe. Those who live successful lives have chosen to believe in thoughts that empower them, while those who live mediocre lives have chosen to believe in thoughts that disempower them. Beliefs are just thoughts, and they aren't real, so we have the power to change our minds whenever we want. The first step in changing how we think and feel is to consider the consequences of acting on our beliefs. Don't worry about whether your beliefs are correct or incorrect; instead, consider the consequences of acting on them. This does require some practice, but how long it takes is entirely up to you! You simply need to decide which Empowering Beliefs will help you live a successful life.
“You are the one who must make the decision. You are the one who decides whether you will do it or discard it. Whether you'll take the lead or trail. Whether you will attempt to reach a distant goal. Or you could just stay where you are.” Guest, Edgar A.

My challenge to you is to choose one Empowering Belief to repeat three times a day for the next ten days. It's a good idea to say the Empowering Belief while looking in the mirror. Try to behave and act in a way that supports the Empowering Belief you've chosen every day. Then wait; you'll start to feel different, and you'll start to change.
