When you aren't prepared, success can come out of nowhere and change everything. Once you've achieved success and become accustomed to it, it can vanish in an instant. People are afraid of success not only because they are afraid of achieving it, but also because they are afraid of losing it.

This is the most common fear, and it is known for keeping people in their shells, in their places, and away from everything they could achieve.

You've probably heard the story of The Man, the Boy, and the Donkey. They were walking to the market with their donkey when a man scoffs at them, saying that the donkey is a useless creature if no one rides it. So the man helps his son onto the donkey, and they are soon interrupted by a woman who cannot believe that a youngster with fresh legs would make his old man walk. If you try to please everyone, you will please no one. You will be judged regardless of what you do, so live your life however you want.

Whether you are concerned about not having enough hours in the day or about how quickly time passes, you are experiencing ‘time anxiety.'

Time anxiety can cause you to develop habits and behaviors that keep you from living your best life. It causes you to rush through activities that you should be relaxing and enjoying. It agitates you rather than makes you happy. Although it can increase your productivity, it often causes you to act out of compulsion rather than freedom – and no one wants that.

The best way to overcome your fear of time passing too quickly is to first define what “time well spent” means to you. Second, make more room for these occasions and activities. Finally, eliminate time-wasting distractions that consume your precious moments when you don't want them to.

8. Fear of Being Your True Self

Many people believe that we are afraid of the dark, of shadows, or of making major changes in our lives because we are afraid of the unknown.

Whichever mind in your head is louder is more likely to guide your actions, so feed the intellectual mind as much as possible.

That there is no reason not to love ourselves and one another. That is no excuse for not treating ourselves and our planet with dignity. That is no reason not to live every moment of our lives as if it were to be repeated indefinitely.

It is a heavy burden to be here, but life is too short and precious to fear anything other than a life unlived.
