No matter who we are, there will be times when we feel down, when things are difficult, when things are tough, and we want to give up. Successful people face the same issue. 1. Reconsider Your Purpose

Remember that the reasons for your goals will become your driving force. And the strength of that force is determined by how emotional and powerful your reasons are. Most people are not truly committed to their goals because they lack a compelling reason to motivate them. It makes no difference to them if they fail to meet their objectives.

When you have a strong and emotional motivation to complete a task, you will go to any length to complete it. If you read the biographies of successful people, you will notice that they were able to bounce back and achieve even more when life hit them the hardest. They achieved incredible results despite numerous setbacks. This is because you will definitely fulfill your desire if you leave yourself with no other options but to achieve what you have set out to do.

What you can do: Before you give up and quit, consider why you started in the first place. Revisit your purpose and ensure that the reasons for it are strong, emotional, and capable of pushing you to achieve your goals in life.

2. Keep Your Achievements in Mind

When you're feeling down and want to give up, remember all of the things you've accomplished in the past. You should have some accomplishments to look back on, no matter who you are or what you have done. If you claim that you have no accomplishments, reconsider.

As a result, you must not allow obstacles to deter you. Consider all of the wonderful things you have accomplished.

Learn the technique known as “celebrate all wins.” Celebrate your victory, no matter how big or small it is. Tiger Woods creates his anchor state and changes his feelings in this manner. This is why you must constantly remind yourself of your achievements and celebrate all of your successes, big and small.

What you can do: Get a note pad and write down all of your accomplishments. You can scribble them down, draw them, or even cut out relevant images and paste them into your note pad. Examine your winning note pad frequently, especially when you need it the most.

3. Recognize that setbacks and obstacles are unavoidable

This is simply a natural law that you must comprehend. We learn the most from failures and obstacles, not from success and victories. We often learn to appreciate each other only after a relationship has failed. We learn the value of money when we don't have any. This is why success is a bad teacher; failure teaches you the most.

If you have never failed before, you must work smart and learn from the mistakes and experiences of others. Consider Michael Jordan, who missed over 9,000 shots in his career. His team entrusted him with the game-winning shot, which he missed not once, but 26 times. Jordan stated that he failed repeatedly and that this is why he succeeds.

Remember that with enough pressure, rocks can be transformed into diamonds. A rainbow will appear after the rain, just as there will be a rainbow after the rain. Tough times are required to put your tenacity to the test. Obstacles exist for you to overcome because they are your most valuable learning experiences.

This is a process that every great leader and successful person must go through. You, too, will be the same. You must understand that setbacks and obstacles are unavoidable. So keep going and get through it.

4. Concentrate on What You Do Best

Stop considering quitting or wondering if things will ever work out. Instead, consider what you do best and do it. When the economy suffers, many business owners go bankrupt, and many people are concerned about their finances. What Donald Trump did when this happened to him was a little out of the ordinary. When most people were worried about how bad things were going to get, he was out there doing what he did best: negotiating real estate deals. What do you think? He was able to turn the situation around and make a comeback. He paid off millions of dollars in debt and then went on to earn billions more.

When you are going through a difficult time, you should never be concerned about how bad things will get. Worrying will not get you out of this situation, and focusing on the problem will not either. What you need to do is break free from the trap by focusing on what you do best.

Bill Gates was always focused on developing the best software; he was never concerned about dealing with customer objections and complaints. This was because he knew that developing software was his specialty. He only needed to concentrate on developing the best software that added value to people's lives. Customer complaints would be handled by others, his employees.

You are not required to abandon your dreams or goals. Let go of the negative thoughts and feelings that make you unhappy and make you want to give up. Change your mindset to one of positivity and enjoy yourself by doing what you enjoy.

What you can do: Take action and concentrate on things that will help you get out of the negative cycle. Don't get caught up in the problem. Instead, consider the solution by focusing on activities that you are passionate about and are meant to do.

5. Clear Your Head If the world around you appears to be crumbling, it may be time to get out of it and stay out of it. You can't think if you're stuck in a loop of thoughts. What you must do is get out of it

Clear your mind. When things aren't going well and you're thinking about quitting, go for a walk, go on a trip, get some rest, or do something completely unrelated to the problem.

This can be an excellent strategy for overcoming obstacles. What would you do if you were lost in the jungle and didn't know which way to go? Trying to get to higher ground so you can see the bigger picture and decide which way to go might be a good idea, right? That is precisely what you do. Get out of the maze by doing something completely unrelated.

Stop ruminating on the issue. When you stop thinking about the problems, the solutions may come to you.

What you can do: Do something that will allow you to clear your mind. Take a walk in the garden, get some rest, get your favorite beverage, watch a movie, go window shopping, go cycling, hiking, diving, swimming, jogging, and so on. You can even go on vacation, travel to another country, or do something out of the ordinary if you so desire.

6. You Are Not Alone

Always keep in mind that you are not alone. There are so many people around you who want to help and support you.

Reading motivational books is one of the wisest ways to get back up when you are down and want to give up. If you haven't already, try reading Arnold Schwarzenegger's biography, Richard Branson's success story, Nick Vujicic's biography, Steve Jobs‘ biography, and Anthony Robbins' books. There are so many great books out there just waiting for you to read them, and you only need 30 minutes to an hour a day to do so.

Aside from books, you can seek out mentors or people who can provide you with mental support. When you talk to these positive people, their positivity will influence you, and your thoughts will become brighter. If you surround yourself with negative people, you will give up sooner and quit sooner. As a result, surround yourself with positive thinkers and network with them.

There's an old adage that goes, “If you want to know how much your income is, figure out your close friends' incomes and take the average.” Your earnings will never deviate too far from that figure. It matters who you talk to and who you hang out with.

What you can do is go to your local bookstore and buy some motivational books, then set aside 30 minutes to an hour each day to read them. Network and speak with positive people who can help you. Find a mentor and immerse yourself in a positive energy pool.
