Is the Relationship Worth It (The Ultimate Guide + Image Quotes)

Do you believe your relationship has become stale? Are your friends single, and you feel like you're missing out when they go out to bars while you stay at home? If you're truly unhappy, it might be best to call it quits. But, just in case you're caught up in a whirlwind of emotions, here are ten signs that your relationship is worth preserving.

1. You have a good time

You have fun with your partner whether you are at home or out on a date. It makes no difference what you're doing; simply being together is enough to have a good time.

2. One of your favorite people is your partner

Outside of your relationship, having friends is healthy, but is your partner one of your best friends? If that's the case, it's a good sign. Don't you enjoy spending time with your friends? If your partner is one of your favorite people, you will value him or her as a person, not just as your partner.

3. You Continue to Attract Butterflies

Hugging and kissing can feel like a chore, something you do on your way out the door. That's understandable given how hectic our lives are. But spend some time together. Take a breather and share a tender kiss without the pressure of time. Do you still have butterflies in your stomach? Do you get goosebumps when you hear this? This is a good indication that you are still deeply invested in your relationship.

4. You're both talking to each other

You may stop sharing things with your partner as you become more acquainted with them because you expect them to already know everything about you, or you may not have time to tell them what happened during your work day. One of the most important aspects of any relationship is communication. If you and your partner continue to talk, share daily events as well as hopes and dreams, you are both putting forth the effort that a solid relationship necessitates.

5. You are honest with one another

Honesty is the foundation of healthy relationships. Keep secrets from your partner unless it is a birthday present! Do not snoop on their phone or email. You must be honest with your partner and trust that they will be equally honest with you.

6. You Have the Ability to Solve Any Problem

If you and your partner are having problems in your relationship (which, let's face it, everyone does at some point), you and your partner can work through it. This means you'll have to rely on your communication skills, as well as your mutual love and respect. You may have had senseless shouting matches as a teenager, but in an adult relationship, you must talk things through and work things out together.

7. You aren't interested in anyone else

Okay, this may appear to be a tall order. You can still be drawn to others – it's human nature. There is, however, a distinction between seeing someone pass by and admitting they are attractive and following them to obtain their phone number. Are you attracted to someone else to the point where you want to play with them or get into a relationship with them? If this is the case, you may need to be honest with your current sweetie and end things. If you're just looking at the eye candy and moving on, that's fine, and you're probably in a good relationship.

8. You Have the Right to Be Yourself

Do you have to pretend to be a fan of a certain sport or band in order to have a good time with your partner? Can you admit when you don't like a movie or a book? If you feel the need to act like someone else in order to be liked, you are not in a good place. If you can be yourself, whether you have things in common or not, you will work towards building a stronger relationship.

9. You are able to grow as a team

You and your partner both want the same things, don't you? Are you willing to compromise if you want different things? Do you both believe there is a future? If you want to stay in a committed relationship, you must both know where you want it to go and be willing to work on it together.

10. You Don't Want to Be Alone Without Them

Because you're in a relationship, it's obvious you're in love, but the bottom line is – do you enjoy being with them more than you enjoy being without them? It's natural to want to be alone from time to time, but if you prefer to be alone or with other friends all of the time, you may need to let go of your partner and spend more time getting to know yourself. However, if you despise the thought of being apart from your partner for an extended period of time or being completely separated from them, your relationship is definitely worth preserving.
