You were born with great gifts and talents, whether you realize it or not. The story of your life is how you use them for yourself and the good of others. Will you live up to your full potential in this story? Let's see what you can do to get it going!
1. Observe Your Emotions Let's face it: you are the only person on the planet who knows how you feel. Others may guess, speculate, or inquire, but they will never know for certain. Sometimes you're excited, worried, or in pain, and other times you're bored to death and want to hide it. Accept responsibility for your emotions and pay attention to when you feel unusually high or low and consider why.

Take a sheet of paper and make a list of the things that energized and depressed you last week. You can make such a list once a week and move one step away from “depressors” and toward “energizers.” This will gradually allow you to realize your full potential.
2. Make Personality Test(s) While observing your feelings is a great way to realize your uniqueness and potential, there are also many personality tests available to help you discover your natural gifts and talents. Try Strengthsfinder, Myers-Briggs, Enneagram, or other personality assessments. The key is to identify your strengths and build on them effectively.
3. As theologian Frederick Buechner once said, “Your calling is where your passions meet the world's needs.” When you are aware of your strengths and weaknesses, it is a good time to consider how you can apply them to the world around you.
It could be as simple as asking your friends and coworkers to identify your five strengths and one weakness. The next important question you must ask yourself is how you can expand your knowledge in these areas even further.
4. Be Courageous When faced with death, most people regret what they did not do rather than what they did. Life is full of challenges and fears, but you should ask yourself a few questions, such as, “Will I regret not doing this when I'm old?” Will I remember this in ten years? How important is it to me? If I don't do this, will I be able to look in the mirror?
It takes courage to realize your full potential, and without bold moves, you may find yourself spinning in circles.
5. Set Challenging, but Achievable Goals Setting goals is a great way to motivate and trigger action. It establishes a course of action, next steps, and helps to clear your mind. Goals that are difficult to achieve promote the flow state that so many people seek. Some people believe that “a life without challenge and risk is not worth living.” The key to unlocking potential is to set stimulating, challenging goals that are achievable and not overwhelming.
You can write the goal down and read it aloud. If it didn't move or empower you, or if you didn't want to act or didn't know what to do, you need a different goal!
6. Make a Small Step Every Day As Lao-Tzu said, “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” You can drive from East to West Coast by seeing only a few miles ahead at any given time. This is also true when it comes to realizing your full potential. Don't think too long – discover your strengths and weaknesses, find the world hunger you can feed, set challenging goals for them, but most importantly, use every day to take a small step toward it.
7. Work on Your Habits Every day, we make hundreds of thousands of decisions, the majority of which are made subconsciously. All of your small and large decisions add up to your life. This is why it is critical to work on habits. You can change your negative patterns and learn to be thankful, deal with stress, and have healthy and inspiring relationships.
They will not change overnight, but once formed, they will have a positive impact on hundreds of your future decisions.
8. Let Go of Resentment Resentment is a major contributor to not realizing your full potential. As Malachy McCourt put it, “resentment is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die.” Don't let others lead you astray. The past has already occurred, and the future is unknown, so concentrate on the here and now. Don't let your past dictate your future.
9. Be Thankful Our sensitivity grows in direct proportion to how positively we respond to our impressions. Your sensitivity to positive aspects of your life will increase if you are thankful. You will notice more opportunities, relax, and your relationships will flourish.
You are living the only life you have; I hope you fully realize your potential! I believe you can achieve great things if you recognize what you have, recognize how you can use it, let go of the negative past, and build positive habits over the steps you take every day.
Enjoy the Moment: Every day, we live in dozens of defined moments. Yet, we forget to defined them. What I mean is that we push the things that we do every day into mere lists of tasks that we need to accomplish. We don't take the time to simply enjoy the moments. I'm not talking about the moments like when you get to your vacation destination after your vacation. I'm talking about the moments between the tasks. For example, when you get in your car to take your kids to school, instead of remembering it as "that time I drove my son to school", remember the moment. That time when you left the house in the cool morning air, the birds chirping in the trees, the sun just beginning to rise. Take a moment to enjoy that. Stop Blaming Your Parents: An easy way to get on your parent's nerves is to blame them for things they did when they were your age. You probably heard 'Don't do that or else you'll go blind!' or 'I'm not driving you anywhere until you die'. Perhaps the most important thing to consider is that your mother and father weren't perfect, and they didn't even know themselves what makes them happy. Read more.
Why Am I So Scatterbrained: It's totally normal to be scatterbrained! The two main reasons being stress, and being a perfectionist. Stress can be a major trigger. When you have a lot going on in your life, it's easy to lose track of time or forget things. Also, stress will make you think a lot. Then you'll have a lot on your mind, and it's easy to lose track of time, or what you're actually doing. The other reason being a perfectionist. It's easy to get distracted when you're working. If you're thinking, "I can't get this done, I just want to get it over with," it'll be easy to get distracted. Mature for You: Computers are awesome! We all use them to do everything in our daily lives. We all have one, right? If you haven't, then you should go get one right away! But, for those who do have computers, you may still find it hard to find the right operating system to use. There are tons of Windows versions all the way back to DOS, but they aren't always the best versions. There are even versions of Linux out there, but they are often hard to use for someone who has never used one before. So what's a person to do? I Feel Lost in Life: When I feel lost, I have to just keep pushing forward. I have to keep in mind the things in life that are important to me, instead of being wrapped up with whatever is causing me to feel this way in the moment. I have to try to see the big picture. If I let myself dwell on negative things in life, I will be in a bad place. I have to remember that I have so much in my life to be grateful for, so much to be happy with. This is when I remind myself of the following things. That I have a family who loves me, who wouldn't hesitate to support me in the difficult times in life.
