“Love is a many-faceted thing. Love raises us to our rightful place. All you require is love!”
Moulin Rouge – a love story with the well-known quote, “the greatest thing you'll ever learn is to love and be loved in return.” The film depicts perfectly how two people who are not allowed to be together will do everything in their power to love each other until their last breath.

That is probably the general perception of unconditionally loving someone to the point where you would do anything to be together. However, with over 7 billion people on the planet, no two definitions will be the same. Love is a broad concept. Everyone requires it in some way, and thus everyone has their own definition of what ‘love' means to them.

In my opinion, love is measured not by how many times you say “I love you,” but by how many times you can prove it. It is about how patient and kind you are; it does not include bragging or being arrogant and rude.
Accepting a person with all of their flaws, stupidities, and flaws is what love entails. For example, love implies that there is no longer a busy world; it is always about priorities. There will always be times when you feel the most important.
So, in conclusion, I believe love is a range of emotions; it is about accepting someone for who they are, having feelings, and doing whatever it takes to gain their forgiveness or even their heart.
Joseph, a 21-year-old withdrawn over-thinker
I don't believe in falling in love at first sight. Yes, it was love at first sight. Perhaps it was love at first sight. But what about love?
To me, love and companionship are on the same cline. And companionship is the bedrock upon which love is built. The pillars on which this foundation is built are respect, understanding, and enthusiasm – not initial attraction or perception.
To some extent, I believe I am a victim of the'mere-exposure effect,' in which a preference for someone or something develops with familiarity. Before ‘asking her out,' I was close friends with my girlfriend for seven years, and I truly believe that this friendship has served as an excellent point of reference over the last two years.
That is the crux of my argument: love is not the gunshot signaling the start of the race, nor is it the sensation of crossing the finish line. The race – the journey – itself is love. Cliché? Yes, sort of, but I believe it holds that the muddy concept of ‘love' cannot be confined to the claustrophobic space of first meeting, casting serious doubts on the concept of love at first sight.
I respect but don't understand the desire for ‘one night stands,' ‘wicked hooks,' or whatever lingo is being used these days to denote seemingly frivolous dealings with a significant (or not so significant) other. It's just not in my nature to think of physical interaction as being so disconnected from emotional connection.
That is not to say that love is a static concept; it is an ever-changing construct, arbitrarily named and largely blurred at its edges. Love at first sight may exist and be fruitful for some people, and I'm perfectly fine with that. In fact, let me correct my opening statement: I do not believe in love at first sight.
Love exists outside of human relationships, but I believe nuanced meaning obscures its existence. I like coffee, I like fresh air, and I like poetry, but I'm not in love with any of them.

Self-love is an essential component of love. Accept yourself and embrace the aspects of yourself that you don't necessarily like. This is a crucial lesson in how to love others. If you love yourself, you will be able to be more generous with your love for others. You discover that you are more fulfilled and loved than you could have imagined. You'll find yourself smiling at the thought of whoever you've discovered you love. Love entails recognizing flaws and accepting them as positive characteristics. You'll feel a sense of completeness that you didn't realize you were missing, and no matter how long you've been apart, whether it's hours or months, you'll feel like you're coming home.
Luke, a 21-year-old avocado enthusiast
Possessing a true love for something, some place, some ideology, or someone and feeling the reciprocation is frequently viewed as the final hurdle on the path to utopia, defined as ‘a hypothetical place or state of things where everything is perfect.'
If I were to use something as simple as a “avocado” to represent any human, object, or place capable of being truly loved, I would define love as the feelings you experience when you come across one of these wonderful green oval-shaped specimens, one that is of perfect ripeness, far superior to any avocado you've found on the shelves before. So flawless that as your knife effortlessly pierces through the delicate skin, leaving you with two immaculate halves, your heart and mind not only discover new boundaries of excitement, but a level of contentedness and satisfaction settles in.
Each bite brings forth feelings of invincibility and superiority that nothing in the world can overcome the sheer happiness, with a little feta cheese to accompany, all spread over the finest sourdough toast and experienced in your own personal paradise. Avocados are one of my favorite foods.
Sarah, 14 years old, is open-minded and exciting
What exactly is love to me? Love is something that is unconditional and difficult to put into words. Of course, I've never felt it, but it's something I hope to do in my lifetime.
The best way to describe it is that it is a feeling that you simply cannot shake, no matter how hard you try. The sensation of falling in love with someone or something you can't live without. The feeling that you need them and want to protect them.
When you look at that person, your heart beats faster and you get goosebumps. When you touch them, you can feel electricity radiating from both of you. You can never be selfish with them and sacrifice anything or everything if it means you can spend the rest of your life with them. It is when that person makes you happy regardless of how you are feeling. Regardless of gender, ethnicity, or individual.
But love isn't easy; it comes with consequences and sacrifices that, if you're willing to make, will tell you that you've found the right someone/something.
I know very few people who are truly, deeply, and madly in love with each other, and every time I see it, it gives me a glimmer of hope that there is someone out there for me.
That is what love means to me. What about you?
Sharvin, 19 years old, is a dog lover
Everyone has experienced love at some point in their lives, whether they were loved or have been loved. It's an unavoidable sensation that grips the heart with full-fledged passion, infatuation, and desire. It can take many forms, such as family, friends, or an intimate love. In my experience, love “feels so good but hurts so bad.” I have many amazing memories of my life with the women I love, but in the end, it will either be a fairytale or a wrecking ball swung at you at breakneck speed.
My general interest is in the animal kingdom. Such magnificent creatures have been roaming our planet for millions of years and have been proven to have a significant significance. My favorite dogs are pugs, golden retrievers, shih tzus, and corgis! I have a pet dog who, to be honest, feels like a younger sibling. Their presence can alleviate sadness or stress; they will be there for you through your ups and downs, elucidating the phrase “dogs are a man's best friend.” They may be a little annoying at times with their barking or pooping all over the house, but they are not as fortunate as humans to have an intellect.
Marina, 20 years old, is a classic and eclectic woman
Love, in my opinion, is the most powerful force on the planet. It can drive you insane, make you feel every emotion a human should feel all at once, make you sick, and make you feel more alive than anything else can. It will consume you and make you feel infinite, whether it is loving yourself or loving someone else (or even loving an idea or a thing).
To me, love is the greatest thing in the world, and without it, we are nothing. Something that drives you to succeed regardless of what others say or who stands in your way. It's the happiness it can bring you when you're down, and when it's gone, you feel like everything has gone to hell.
To be honest, it is dangerous to love, but it is a risk worth taking. Love so intensely that it overwhelms you. You'll know when you've fallen in love with something or someone. Take my word for it. It will take time, but it will be worthwhile. All you have to do now is find your star.
Is the Relationship Worth It: After a breakup, many refuse to consider trying a reconciliation, or a second chance. Some people feel that the person who broke up with them is too toxic to be around, and that there is no way for them to win them back. People can be very stubborn and it can seem like they will never change. You can't force someone to change their minds, and you can't make someone love you again, but you can make it seem like your relationship is worth it. Read more.
Selfish People: A selfish person is someone who's only focused on themselves. They're typically very focused on the gratification they get from things. They're not focused on helping people, yet they're focused on making themselves happy. This is a big problem with the current culture of the world. It's very self-centered. People are focused on their own happiness. They're focused on their own circumstances. They're focused on their own situation. They don't care about other people. They don't care about the people who are struggling. They don't care about people who are less fortunate than them, but they should because we're all human beings and we should all really be focused on the needs of other people rather than focusing on our own needs. Selfishness breeds selfishness. Read more.

People Who Don't Understand Sarcasm: People who don't get sarcasm sometimes get a lot of flak from others who do get it. They get beat up, get made fun of, and get put down by people who find their lack of sarcasm awareness to be a bit of a bummer. But the people who don't get it won't get it. They don't get it. Sometimes people ask why they don't get it. But since they're not getting it, it doesn't really matter, does it? They're not gonna get it. What is getting them in trouble is their problem. Not anyone else's. They're the ones that need to get it. They're the ones that need to learn how to get it. Read more.
