When everything appears to be going wrong, tell yourself these things:

Life's adversities can seem to last an eternity at times. Very few problems, whether they are work-related, family-related, or stressful situations, last a lifetime. So remind yourself that things will not stay this bad indefinitely.

When things are going wrong, it's difficult to see what's going right. It is very easy to filter out the good and only focus on the bad. Remind yourself that things are going well. Look for the good in everything, even if it's a small thing.

3. I Have Some Power

One of the most important things to keep in mind is that you do have some control over the situation. Even if you don't have total control over the situation, you can always control your attitude and reaction. Concentrate on managing what you can control.

4. I Have the Ability to Seek Assistance

It can be difficult to ask for help at times. However, it is one of the most effective ways to deal with difficult situations. If someone offers to assist you, tell them exactly what you require. Don't be afraid to ask friends and family for help, whether you need financial assistance, emotional support, or practical assistance.

5. Much of this will be irrelevant in a few years

Most of the issues we are concerned about today will be irrelevant in five years. Remind yourself that whatever is going wrong right now is only a small part of your overall life. Even if you're dealing with a major issue, such as a loved one's illness, keep in mind that a lot of good things are likely to happen over the course of a year or two.

Stress can be exacerbated by a lack of confidence in dealing with adversity. One of the most important things to remember is that you can deal with difficult situations. Even if you are angry, hurt, disappointed, or sad, it will not kill you. You'll be able to get through it.

No matter how bad a situation is, something good will almost always come out of it. At the very least, you will most likely learn a valuable life lesson. There are many things over which you have no control. You cannot change the past, another person's behavior, or the health issues of a loved one. Don't waste time attempting to persuade others to change or making things different if you don't have control over the situation. Investing time and energy in things you can't do will leave you feeling helpless and exhausted. Acceptance is one of the most effective ways to build resilience.

9. I've Overcome Difficulties in the Past

One thing to remember when you're facing difficulties is that you've dealt with problems before. Don't dismiss past difficulties that you've successfully overcome. Remind yourself of all the problems you've overcome in the past, and you'll gain confidence in dealing with the current problems.

10. I Need to Look After Myself

Take care of yourself when everything appears to be going wrong. Get plenty of rest, exercise, eat healthily, and spend time doing recreational activities. You will be better equipped to deal with your problems if you take better care of yourself.
